Our whisky is housed in a sculpted black bottle. It embodies our determination to bring meaning to what we love: respect for the know-how that has been handed down to us, the unbreakable ties that bind us to our environment, our unbridled enthusiasm for working with local artisans, the precious time we spend together.
We have channelled these values into developing Fontagard Single Malt, and we are determined to do what we feel is right and fair, even if that means shaking up certain established rules.

Fontagard, the hamlet of twelve souls
Fontagard, like the name of the place. Our Whisky inherited its name from the hamlet, also called "Hamlet of the Twelve Souls". Protected by the chimeras surrounding the door of an old coach house, which today houses the winery and the fountain that supplies pure water to this place, a preserved site inhabited by a rich ecosystem.
It was Jean Granchère who set up his still in Fontagard in 1878. Since then, 4 generations have succeeded each other at the head of the Fontagard Distillery. Each member of the Granchère family has had to pass on the skills and values instilled by Jean.
It is up to Adrien today to perpetuate the gestures of yesteryear, it will also be up to him to transmit the fruit of his knowledge to his child. Jean can be proud...
